This program is aimed at empowering children, teachers and parents/guardians to be able to shape quality education and sustainable development of their communities. The program is designed to:
- Promote literacy among children through the power of reading. (The absence of required textbooks and educational resources in grassroot schools has been identified as one of the significant hindrances to quality education. A research study by UNICEF shows that only a third of 10 year olds globally are able to read and understand a simple written story. Lack of access to reading materials and resources limits pupils' ability to explore and expand their knowledge, beyond the confines of the classroom. Additionally, teachers in rural communities often face challenges in delivering quality education due to shortage of teaching materials, that supplement their lessons effectively.) - Empower teachers with holistic skills and knowledge to deliver quality education. (Grassroot communities often face limited access to quality education due to various factors such as insufficient resources, geographical constraints and above all lack of highly trained teachers. Research from UNESCO indicates that improving teachers quality, can significantly improve students outcomes and bridge the rural- urban education gap. The primary objective of this training is to empower teachers with insights, techniques, and strategies to facilitate personal growth and development among themselves and their students.) - Engage parents/guardians as key stakeholders in advancing quality education. ( The family is an important unit in the development of every community. We therefore appreciate the roles parents and guardians need to play in keeping their children in schools. With combined efforts we work to foster healthy relationships between children and their parents. This prompts communities to appreciate different programs advancing quality education at the grassroot level.)
